I have modified William in many parts. In
order to evaluate the style properly, I drew
a CG of my loco with a 3DCG software "Shade".
I had planned to cut off rear part largely
for easy access to the cab. But the CG shows
that the cut will spoil toughness of the
spectacle plates, and spoil the appearance.
The runboard is too large, while the boiler
is too slim. Also the steam dome is too slim,
etc...
The CG looks very nice but it brings me many
sources of worry.
